Vivo Reveals Launch Date, Colors, and Design of X300 Flagships

Vivo’s upcoming X300 series flagship smartphones have been the subject of numerous headlines lately. Unofficial and even official sources have already revealed a handful of details regarding the new devices. Vivo has now confirmed the launch date of the X300 series devices, apart from showing their color variants and a handful of promotional photos.

Vivo’s X300 series phones will come in a range of attractive colorways

After multiple rumors, Vivo has confirmed that it’ll launch the X300 and X300 Pro flagship smartphones in the new X300 series at an event in China on October 13th. The launch event announcement is accompanied by a few images, which shed some light on their design and colors. The images show the Vivo X300 in light blue, light pink, black, and silver hues, and the X300 Pro in dark gray and beige colorways. The firm will likely offer more color options at the launch event.

Design-wise, the X300 series phones appear to have a flatter design than their predecessors. They have flat frames and rounded corners, and a relocated LED flash unit on the left side of the camera module. The X300 Pro could also get a new multifunction button, which might be similar to Apple’s Action Button. Vivo has engineered the cameras of these phones in collaboration with ZEISS.

Soon after MediaTek unleashed its latest flagship SoC, the Dimensity 9500, to the world, Vivo’s Han Boxiao confirmed that the X300 series phones will be the first to utilize the new chip. In Boxiao’s early tests, the X300 Pro with the Dimensity 9500 chip managed to achieve 412,000 points on AnTuTu, with the temperature staying at 24.6 degrees Celsius the entire time.

The official also revealed that the X300 series will debut the brand’s OriginOS 6, which will have a host of new lock screen features, among others. Vivo is going to replace the X200 Mini with the base X300 variant.

Apart from the X300 series phones, Vivo will also debut its WATCH GT 2 series smartwatches with its in-house Blue OS 3. Additionally, the company will introduce the Vivo TWS 5 series audio products and the Vivo Pad5e high-end tablet at the same event. We expect that the company will continue to reveal more details of all the upcoming products on social media leading up to the launch event, so stay tuned.
