vivo’s upcoming iQOO 15 has seemingly just run Geekbench a few hours ago, and it’s managed some record-breaking in the process. The prototype was able to reach a single-core score of 3,824 and a multi-core score of 12,402, while being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC.
The phone that ran the benchmark had 16GB of RAM, though other options may be available upon launch. It had Android 16 on board, giving us a good hint that the iQOO 15 will launch with that version.
The phone will have an LED light strip around its camera ring, as revealed yesterday, and it’s also expected to boast an extremely high-end Samsung-made screen with QHD+ resolution. It should have a trio of 50MP cameras on its back, including a periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, and a 7,000 mAh battery.
According to a new leak, the iQOO 15 will incorporate a self-developed chip called Q3, which will enable full-scene ray tracing in Genshin Impact for the first time (not even Apple has done this, allegedly).
iQOO will unveil more details about this chip on September 23, and that’s the date when Qualcomm is making the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 official – it can’t be a coincidence. The iQOO 15’s full launch is coming later, most likely in the next few weeks.
