Ulefone has just announced a new series of smartphones, the RugKing. This is a budget-friendly series of rugged smartphones, basically. The first model is called the ‘RugKing’, simple.

This smartphone does look rugged, very much so. Its main feature is a powerful speaker on the back. It is a 126dB speaker. It has a diameter of up to 36mm and an 11.5 CC sound cavity. It has a 3.5W rated power. That speaker, much like the phone itself, is both water and dust-resistant, not to mention drop-resistant.
Speaking of which, the phone comes with IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H ratings for water, dust, and drop resistance. A 9,600mAh battery is also built into the phone, which is another major selling point for the device. The device supports 18W wired charging, along with 5W reverse wired charging.
What else? The RugKing has a 5.99-inch display with a maximum brightness of 910 nits. It is fueled by the Unisoc T7255 processor and comes with 8GB of RAM. 256GB of storage is also built into the phone.
It has two rear-facing cameras and a powerful flashlight
A 50-megapixel main camera is backed by a 2-megapixel macro camera. A glare flashlight sits on the phone, too, and it provides 126 lumens of brightness, which is also a neat gadget to have.
A side-facing fingerprint scanner is also included, as is a dual SIM setup. Android 15 comes pre-installed on the device, while you’re also getting a headphone jack here.
The Ulefone RugKing will become available to purchase on September 15. It will be available via AliExpress and Ulefone’s official store. The starting price will be $219.99, but Ulefone is giving out a $70 discount during the first week of sales, via AliExpress. That will bring the phone’s price down to $149.99.
