Google has started pushing out the September 2025 Android security update to the Pixel 10 series. The information comes from folks over at 9to5Google, who spotted a post on Reddit.
The Google Pixel 10 series is now getting the September 2025 Android security update
A handful of Google Pixel 10 series phones have received an update of around 70MB with the September 2025 security patch. The build number in question is BD3A.250721.001.B7. It is worth noting that the Google Play system update remains on June 1, 2025, though.
Do note that Google has not published any information about this update. The new factory and OTA images are not live, and we don’t know what changes exactly does this update bring to the table.
It will almost certainly include some security fixes, even though the July 2025 update did not. We have seen quite a few of them in the August update, and this one will likely bring some too.
The company did not provide any details just yet
Google could include some additional changes along with those bug fixes, though. We’ll have to wait and see, as we’re in the dark at this point. Considering that the update is rolling out already, the company will likely share more information very soon, probably later today.
There’s one thing that the user on Reddit mentioned, a bug that’s still around. He mentioned that the back gesture is still bugged, unfortunately. He’s using the Pixel 10 Pro, and he noticed that it’s still around. We were hoping Google will patch it up with this update.
He also noted that he didn’t notice anything new following the update, as in new features or bugs. A number of other users reported back the same thing, so the update is definitely going out as we speak. We’re waiting on Google to provide more info.
