Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Unleashed

Earlier this month, the OnePlus 15 appeared on Geekbench. While that listing confirmed some of its specs, the benchmarking results were very disappointing. It was obvious that was not the final build. Well, the OnePlus 15 just got benchmarked again, and this time around, it’s showing its full might.

The OnePlus 15 gets benchmarked again, and this time around, it’s showing its true power

The phone appeared on Geekbench under the ‘PLK110’ model number, the same as last time. The results are vastly different, though. The phone managed to score 3,709 points in the single-core, and 11,000 points in the multi-core test.

The other model, the prototype one, scored 639 points in the single-core test and 1,870 points in the multi-core test. Needless to say, that’s not even close, and has nothing to do with the power of the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip.

The model that got tested here includes 16GB of RAM. Android 16 is also mentioned, as expected. The phone will be available in more than one RAM models, though. If we had to guess, we’d say 12GB and 16GB RAM models will be included for global units. A 24GB RAM model could be on offer in China.

It will likely debut next month

OnePlus will likely announce this phone next month… in China. The global variant is expected to follow in Q1 next year. The phone is tipped to include a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display from BOE, with a 165Hz refresh rate.

A 7,000mAh battery is also tipped, along with 120W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. It will not come with Hasselblad branding, as OnePlus is aiming to debut its in-house imaging engine called ‘DetailMax’. The very first camera samples have already been published.

The device will feature three cameras on the back, as three 50-megapixel units are rumored. Wide, ultrawide, and periscope telephoto cameras will be in use.
