OnePlus 13 Just Got Its September Update — And Some Cool New Tricks

A new update is now rolling out to the OnePlus 13, with the September 2025 Android security patch. That’s not all, however, as OnePlus included a number of other changes in the changelog.

New OnePlus 13 update delivers September 2025 Android security patch

This update is marked as OxygenOS 15.0.0.860, and it’s currently rolling out in India. It will quickly spread to other markets, so it could hit your phone in the very near future. It is, however, rolling out in stages, so be patient.

With that being said, this update improves the animations when tapping Live Alerts or notifications while the screen is locked. It also allows you to add a map album that allows you to view all images with locations on a map.

After you set photos in the Private album as public, they’ll reappear in their original locations. You can now also change your privacy password on each secondary page of Private Safe. The same goes for Locked album of Photos.

Various other changes are included

On top of that, you can now view your daily and weekly screen time in App management under Phone Manager. This update also improves the layout of the remote control panel buttons in the IR remote.

Following this update, you’ll be able to send text, image, and voice messages to nearby people via BeaconLink when there is no internet connection. This setting is visible in Settings -> Mobile network -> BeaconLink.

That is basically everything included in this OnePlus 13 update. Well, at least everything that OnePlus listed in its changelog. If everything goes according to plan, without major bugs, global users should be able to grab this update very soon. It usually goes that way, so… stay tuned for that, the update is coming soon.
