This year we saw many unusual camera island designs and the most unusual one may be yet to come. It will arrive when Realme unveils the GT 8 and GT 8 Pro in October – the camera island on the Pro will look like a robot’s face.

We know that it’s the real deal because Realme itself posted this teaser that shows the shape of the island in an abstract way. This image really highlights “robot’s face” look – the 50MP main camera and the ultra-wide modules are the eyes, the 200MP periscope below them is the mouth, a pair of decorative screws form the ears.

Previous leaks have revealed that the Pro will have a 6.78” display and a massive 8,000mAh battery. It will be powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. We’ve heard mentions of Ricoh branding, but there’s no such label in DCS’s image (which is probably a render).
Leaks about the vanilla Realme GT 8 suggest that it will be slightly smaller with a 6.6” display and a 7,000mAh battery. This model will be based on the outgoing Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
