New Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold Teaser Sparks Name Confusion

Google managed to confuse people, slightly, with its new Pixel 10 Pro Fold teaser. The company mentioned the name of the original foldable, which prompted some people to think that a name change is in order.

Latest Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold teaser brings name confusion to the table

Let’s set things straight, no, Google is not changing the name. The device will be called the Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold. We can confirm that, and even in the title of the aforementioned video, it says ‘Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold’.

At the very end of the ‘Stand in Line’ teaser, however, the ‘Google Pixel Fold’ name appears. Google is probably just pointing out to its foldable phones in general, hence the use of that name.

In any case, this short teaser shows us bits and pieces of the phone’s design. You can see the rear-facing cameras here, the hinge, and the camera bump on the back, and also the bottom of the device. At the end, the phone unfolds, showing its main display.

This teaser actually follows another short teaser that Google shared recently, the ‘Open’ one. That one also had a duration of 30 seconds and showed a couple of additional sides of the device.

The phone will launch on August 20, along with 5 other products

The Google Pixel 10 Pro Fold will become official on August 20. It will arrive alongside the Google Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2a. Google is getting ready for a rather packed event.

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold will not go on sale until October, unlike the other three phones that the company will reveal on August 20. The Pixel Watch 4 and Pixel Buds 2a will also accompany the Pixel 10 Pro Fold in October.
