This news comes straight from a Samsung Community Forum moderator. They revealed that the development team is busy working through the bugs and feedback submitted by a dedicated group of beta testers. Basically, they’re busy with a final tune-up before the big public release.
This upcoming fifth beta is all about polish and stability. Instead of adding new features, the focus is on creating the most reliable and bug-free experience possible. Samsung’s moderator also expressed gratitude for the testers’ active participation (via Tarun Vats). After all, users had been giving valuable feedback for weeks before the stable rollout.
For those eager to get the stable version of One UI 8, the wait won’t be much longer. Samsung has already announced a plan to roll out the final software in September. Given that the Galaxy S25 lineup has been at the forefront of the beta program, it’s highly likely that these phones will be the first to receive the stable Android 16-based update.
Will a “beta 6” arrive before the September stable rollout?
That said, with the stable update arriving in September, don’t rule out a possible final “beta 6.” However, feedback from Galaxy S25 device owners enrolled in the program claims that the current beta 4 is already quite stable, so the One UI 8 beta 5 update arriving next week should be as close to a stable release as it can be.
