Samsung is slowly but surely pushing out One UI 8 to all of its eligible devices, and this includes the likes of the Galaxy S24 FE as well as some non-flagship phones. As of this week, Samsung has now started officially rolling out the One UI 8 update to the Galaxy S24 FE and the Galaxy A56. Worth noting is that this is the stable update.
Prior to this rollout, both devices may have had access to the software, but these weren’t stable builds that were meant to be used by the majority of the public. Now, however, Samsung feels that One UI 8 on these two devices is ready. In other words, it operates in a state that will run smoothly.
Samsung also started this software push for the other versions of the Galaxy S24 initially. It then expanded the software out to the fan edition model.
The One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S24 FE is for Korea only at the moment
Samsung usually staggers updates for its devices in different regions, and things are no different here. As reported by SamMobile, the Galaxy S24 FE model getting the stable One UI 8 build is the Korean model of the device. That being said, it likely won’t be too long before it rolls out to the US model and models from other regions. However, there’s no confirmed timeframe yet.
When it comes to the Galaxy A56 it’s the same story. The update is rolling out to the model in Korea first, before it rolls out to other regions in the (presumably) near future. As for what the software contains, there are quite a few new features and changes. This is Android 16 for Samsung devices, so it comes with all of the new Android 16 stuff. Among the features that users can look out for are the improvements to Portrait Studio and the new DeX. Samsung also made some big improvements to split screen and quick share.
