Redmi 15C 5G launches with Dimensity 6300 chipset, same 6,000mAh battery

The Redmi 15C 4G made its debut in Poland, now the 5G variant of the phone has arrived in the country – actually, not just in Poland, we also found it in France, Spain and Hungary.

The Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G mostly changes what is necessary to go 5G. The chipset is different, of course, the Helio G81 Ultra gives way to a Dimensity 6300. Even if it’s low end, this is a much more modern chipset (6nm vs. 12nm) with newer CPU cores (2x Cortex-A76 at 2.4GHz and 6x A55 at 2.0GHz) and GPU (Mali-G57 MC2).

The phone is available in two configurations, 4/128GB and 4/256GB. This is LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 storage. There’s a dedicated microSD slot available for easy storage expansion.

The 5G model is a bit heavier at 211g (vs. 205g) and larger overall – 173.2 x 81.0 x 8.2mm vs. 171.6 x 79.5 x 8.0mm. This is despite having the same size screen, a 6.9” 720p+ 120Hz LCD, and the same 6,000mAh battery with 33W charging support (no charger is included in the box). The phone is rated IP64 (dust tight, splash resistant).

There is a 50MP camera on the back with an f/1.8 lens and 1080p @ 30fps video recording and an 8MP camera on the front with an f/2.0 lens and the same video recording capability. The front camera is in a teardrop-shaped notch.

The Redmi 15C 5G has a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radio. It supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4 and global positioning (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou), NFC support is present in some regions. There’s a fingerprint reader on the side of the phone.

Like we mentioned above, the Xiaomi Redmi 15C 5G is already available in several EU countries, here are the local prices. For comparison, the 4G model is normally €150 in Spain, though it’s currently discounted to €130 (this is for a 4/128GB unit).
