Vivo has been touting the advanced videography skills of the upcoming X300 series and now it is even sharing some video samples. Here are two 4K clips shot at 120fps – one uses Dolby Vision HDR, the other is a 10-bit Log video.
The first video is used for a slow-motion effect, you can see it in how slowly the fireworks in the background move. The second also shows off a selective slow-mo effect, but it also demonstrates the advantages of Log video – namely, that a video editor has more freedom to adjust brightness and contrast as the videos capture more dynamic range.
The vivo X300 Pro directly challenges Apple, surpassing even the competition’s Ultra models in video capabilities! World’s first 4K 60fps cinematic portrait video,4K 120fps cinematic slow-motion, 4K 120fps Dolby Vision HDR, 4K 120fps 10-bit log video!📸 pic.twitter.com/DIr6hq85wK

These videos were shot on the vivo X300 Pro. The phone uses the Dimensity 9500 chipset and leverages its NPU for fast and accurate autofocus. Additionally, there’s the V3+ chip for additional image processing.
The Pro will use a customized 200MP 1/1.4” Samsung sensor in its telephoto camera, though we don’t know whether this video was shot with the tele camera. Another possibility is the main camera with a Sony LYT-828 1/1.3” sensor. The X300 Pro will apparently have a 4K @ 60fps cinematic portrait video mode (with additional bokeh over what the lenses naturally create).
The Dimensity 9500 will be unveiled on September 22, the vivo X300 series should follow soon after that – perhaps in early October.
