Yesterday, Nothing started to tease the new Ear (3) earbuds on its social media platforms, including teasing a new “Super Mic” feature which is built into the buds’ case. Well, we’re opening the floodgates, with tons of marketing images for the new Nothing Ear (3).
As Nothing already teased yesterday, the case does have a Super Mic, which is essentially a microphone built into the case that can be used as a mic for phone calls and such. It would be really cool if it could record audio; that would be a game-changer for content creators.

Nothing also revealed that it is using metal in the case for “greater durability” here, and to help make them look more premium than before. All while sticking with the same transparent design that Nothing has sort of become known for.
On top of this, Nothing Ear 3 also has 12mm Dynamic Drivers in each earbud, along with up to 45db Adaptive Noise Cancellation and the 95db Super Mic. Nothing is also including Hi-Res LDAC audio here at 24-bit, so those audiophiles out there will be very happy to see this.
Nothing Ear (3) will boast 10 hours of continuous playback
Over the last couple of years, we’ve seen some pretty big changes in battery life for earbuds like the Nothing Ear (3), which can now hit 10 hours of continuous playback, or up to 38 hours with the carrying case.
When compared to the new AirPods Pro 3, which Apple just announced a week ago, which has 8 hours of continuous playback and up to 24 hours with the case, this is pretty good battery life for the Nothing Ear (3). It would last through an entire international flight (depending on where you’re going, it won’t last from JFK to Singapore without a quick top-up in the case).
Nothing plans to officially launch the Ear (3) on September 18. So we don’t have long to wait for this one to launch.
