Google’s Toughest Phone Yet? Pixel 10 Pro XL Put to the Test

If you’re thinking of buying the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL, you’re probably wondering how durable it is. Well, the Pixel 10 Pro XL managed to get into Zack’s hands, from JerryRigEverything, which means we have a series of durability tests to check out.

The Google Pixel 10 Pro XL faced a series of durability tests

As per usual, Zack published a YouTube video in which he’s testing the phone. The first test is, as per usual, the display scratch test. The results are expected, as the Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protects this display.

The display scratched at a level 6, while deeper grooves ended up being visible when scratched with a level 7 pick. That’s the case with every phone that has Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

The buttons are made out of metal and removable

He also confirmed that buttons are made out of metal and that they’re removable. You’ll also see him scratch the phone’s frame, speaker grilles, and more, just to check out their sturdiness and materials.

The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 also protects the back side of the phone, including the cameras inside the camera bar. The camera bar has metal all around it, same as the frame of the phone, it’s aluminum.

After 20 seconds of being exposed to a lighter flame, the phone’s display did not get damaged, but the oleophobic coating did, of course. Even after some additional scratches over the in-display fingerprint scanner, it continued to function properly. This is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, by the way.

It did not even bend, let alone crack in half

And finally, a test that most people are interested in, the bend test. The phone did not crack under pressure (front or back), it did not even bend, really. Even Zack said that this could be the company’s strongest phone yet (in terms of sturdiness).

All in all, the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL passed Zack’s durability tests with flying colors.
