vivo X300 Pro camera samples posted, showing off the capabilities of the main and tele cameras

Vivo has been teasing the camera upgrades that are coming to the X300 series, which will be unveiled on October 13. The latest teaser is a series of photos taken at the Changchun Air Show, which show off the zoom capabilities of the vivo X300 Pro.

Here are some photos shot with the main camera – it has a 24mm lens and an f/1.57 aperture.

Next up is a 50mm shot, likely also taken with the main camera. From here on out, the photos are taken with the telephoto camera. It probably has an 85mm lens (that was the case with the X200 Pro), beyond that are various levels of digital zoom.

What happened with that 85mm shot? The cockpit of the plane in the background looks funky. At higher zoom levels, you can see the telltale signs of upscaling, but even the 728mm shot (that should be 30x magnification) doesn’t have the weirdness of that 85mm image.

vivo will release a Zeiss 2.35x teleconverter kit that will be compatible with the vivo X300 and X300 Pro. This teleconverter will extend the zoom capabilities of the two phones and will also offer snapshot and portrait modes.
