The brand-new Watch GT 6 Pro is Huawei’s latest premium smartwatch, and it brings a slew of welcome upgrades across health and activity tracking, alongside improvements in areas like battery endurance and positioning accuracy.
Our review unit comes in brown, though that’s only visible on the scale around the display. Watch GT 6 Pro retains the titanium casing of its predecessor and comes with the new brown woven strap, which features an interesting mix of rubber and nylon.
It has the same 46mm casing size as its predecessors, but its circular AMOLED touchscreen has now grown to 1.47 inches. It’s now rated at 3,000 nits peak brightness, which is a healthy upgrade over the GT 5 Pro’s 1,200 nits.
It’s a substantial watch, and at nearly 55 grams, you certainly feel it on the wrist. Huawei kept the 40m swim-proof rating from last year, and it also features IP69K dust and water resistance.
The Harmony OS 6.0 interface looks and feels familiar to previous entries. Animations are smooth, and you get a healthy dose of first-party apps and sports modes.
You also get the updated TruSense System, which adds an updated algorithm for more accurate health readings, such as respiratory rate, SpO2, body temperature, and heart rate. Like other modern Huawei watches, you also get ECG readings.
Watch GT 6 Pro gets a new 867 mAh high-silicon stacked battery, which Huawei claims can last up to 12 days on a single charge with regular use or up to 21 days with less action. We’ll make sure to test these claims out in our detailed review.
