Google has added a new smartphone accessory to its arsenal, a rope wrist strap for Pixel phones. The official name of this accessory is ‘Google Rope Wristlet’, and it comes in a range of colors.
The Google Rope Wristlet is a new fashion acccessory for your Pixel (and other phones)
Truth be told, this wrist strap is made for Pixel phones, and it has a Google logo on it, but you can use it with basically any device, if you want. The strap here connects with a spring ring clasp to a shim with a D-ring placed between the case and the back of the phone.
Google is marketing this for Pixel phones, of course, but you should technically be able to use it with any phone that has a Type-C port and a case. Well, almost any. It may sound odd, but there you go.
It is not compatible with the Pixel Fold series
Google did mention that the Google Rope Wristlet won’t work with the Pixel Fold series. Why? Well, we’re guessing it’s because of the nature of cases on foldables. They don’t have a proper grasp on the phone on all sides, so… it’s risky.
This accessory does come as a surprise. Google usually shows us everything it has at launch, or adds something months and months after launch. Well, this accessory comes a month after the Google Pixel 10 series arrived. Granted, this accessory is not made specifically for the Pixel 10 series.
It comes in three colors and costs only $7
The Google Rope Wristlet comes in three color options. It’s available in Purple/Green, Green/Yellow, and Black/Gray colors. All of those colors are shown in the gallery below.
If you’d like to get it, you’ll have to part with $7 in order to do so… at least in the US. We’re not sure about availability in other markets.
