Google Squashes Critical Bugs With New Pixel 10 September Update

Google has started to roll out a new September 2025 Android update to the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and Pixel 10 Pro XL. Just to be perfectly clear, this is not the first September 2025 update that the devices received.

New September 2025 update follows the one that landed two weeks ago

Two weeks ago, Google released a big quarterly update for all eligible Pixel devices, and that included the Pixel 10 devices. With that update, all phones were bumped up to the September 2025 Android security patch. Most of them also received a ton of Pixel Feature Drop features, but the Pixel 10 series already shipped with those.

That security update delivered improvements for system stability and performance. It also fixed some issues with transitions and the power key. Other instability problems were patched, and so on. All in all, a handful of fixes were released.

This new update, marked as BD3A.250721.001.E1, weighs only 31MB, and it comes with a single changelog entry. Google says that this update “fixes critical bugs and improves the performance and stability of your device.”

That’s it, no extra info has been shared by the company. It seems like Google spotted some additional bugs that needed squashing, and this update did just that, even though we didn’t get the specifics.

This new update fixes “fuzzy display” issues on the Pixel 10 smartphones

Verizon did say that this update “addressed an issue that caused users to experience a fuzzy display,” though. We presume that the carrier is referring to the display glitch that basically creates a snowstorm on displays. It’s nice to see that a fix for that arrived, as quite a few people were complaining.

That’s basically everything we know thus far. This update is rolling out only to the Google Pixel 10 series, as far as we know. So it includes fixes specific to the Pixel 10 phones.
