Google launched the Pixel 10 series last month, and with it came a range of new AI-powered software features. Among them is the Daily Hub, which sounds a lot like Samsung’s Now Brief. It provides weather information, calendar events, media recommendations, and more. There’s also Magic Cue, which leverages AI to offer tailored suggestions. Just two weeks after the Pixel 10 models hit stores, Google is pulling down the Daily Hub feature to “improve the experience” further.
Google pulls down the Daily Hub feature on the Pixel 10
The Daily Hub feature on the Pixel 10 was not fully available, as it had only arrived in a “public preview” just like the Pixel Studio in 2024. In fact, there was a ‘preview’ badge at the top of the hub screen. Despite this, Google advertised the phones with the feature. This was present in the Discovery Feed, instead of in the app drawer.
The company will no longer display Daily Hub at the top of your Discover feed and in At a Glance on your homescreen or lockscreen. A Google spokesperson told 9to5Google that it is “actively working to enhance its performance and refine the personalized experience.” Google will reintroduce the improved version of the Daily Hub feature “when it’s ready.”

Daily Hub is apparently not very consistent
While the weather and calendar overview worked as intended, there are other inconsistencies with the feature. The “Keep these on your radar” section surfaces emails relating to bills, text messages about upcoming events, and Keep notes. Apparently, this section isn’t “very consistent” on the Pixel 10 devices.
The Daily Hub media recommendations, which include music, podcasts, and YouTube content based on your interests, are also apparently not very even, especially YouTube Shorts for some. Then there’s the carousel that shows topics that you might want to learn. Selecting one of these opens the Gemini app with the complete prompt. However, this utility is also not very even. Though Google said the feature will make an entry again, there’s no specific timeline mentioned yet.
