There’s a 512GB Galaxy S25 FE That US Users Can’t Buy

Samsung‘s highly anticipated Galaxy S25 FE has arrived. Also, the phone is landing on shelves a bit earlier than we expected. This time around, there’s no lengthy pre-order period to secure the device. Instead, the device is directly available to order now, with most major US deliveries expected in just a few days. But if you’re in the US and were hoping to get your hands on the best possible version of the Samsung Galaxy S25 FE, there’s a small detail you should be aware of.

As it turns out, the top-tier 512GB model of the Galaxy S25 FE won’t be available in the US market.

No 512GB Samsung Galaxy S25 FE variant for US users

In the US, you can purchase the S25 FE in either a 128GB base version or a slightly more expensive 256GB storage option. The top-end 512GB variant, however, is only available in certain international markets, including select countries in Europe (spotted by SamMobile). This isn’t a new strategy for Samsung, though. They did the exact same thing with the Galaxy S24 FE, whose 512GB variant was unavailable in the US.

The pricing for the high-end model in these other markets provides a clue as to why. In the UK, a 512GB S25 FE costs £799, and in Eurozone countries, it’s priced at €949. These price tags translate to roughly $1,070 and $1,100 in USD, respectively. So, the 512GB variant of the phone is right in the price range of genuine flagship devices.

A strategic decision

This strategic move is likely a way for Samsung to prevent the mid-range Fan Edition from competing directly with its own premium lineup. For a similar cost in the US, consumers could easily choose a more powerful and feature-rich device. For example, they could go for other members in the series, like the Galaxy S25+ and S25 Ultra. People also have the option of the latest Pixel 10 Pro or Pixel 10 Pro XL flagship phones.

By limiting the highest-end storage option for the S25 FE, Samsung avoids having its mid-range phone cannibalize sales of its flagship models in an already competitive market. That said, the Galaxy S25 FE already has one key aspect that leaves it behind its bigger siblings: 8GB of RAM. Even the European version with 512GB of storage is limited to 8GB of RAM. So, anyone looking for more RAM would have had to go for the more expensive models in the S25 family anyway.
