Acer announces Predator Helios 18P laptop just before IFA 2025
For those who love gaming, the new Predator series is a beast. The Predator Helios 18P AI laptop is a standout, designed for professionals who demand high-performance computing in a portable setup. It’s powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 Processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. This makes it ideal for both intense gaming sessions and desktop-level AI computing, inferencing, and productivity tasks.
New desktop PCs and monitors
For desktop enthusiasts, the new Predator Orion 7000 and 5000 PCs pack the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA Blackwell-powered GeForce RTX 50 GPUs.
To go with all that power, Acer introduced the Predator X27U F8 monitor ($1,299.99). This is a lightning-fast OLED display with up to a 720 Hz refresh rate for an ultra-responsive gaming experience.
“Affordable” Nitro gaming laptops, desktop gaming
If you’re a more casual gamer, Acer has refreshed its Nitro series. The new Nitro V 16 ($999.99) and Nitro V 16S ($1,099.99) gaming laptops offer AI-powered performance with an Intel Core 9 processor. You’ll also find an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU.
For desktop gaming, the Nitro 70 and Nitro 50 PCs boast of up to AMD Ryzen 9 and Ryzen 7 processors.

The Nitro line also includes a new range of monitors. The list includes the Nitro XV275K V6 ($699.99) with a crisp 27″ 4K 180 Hz display and the 27″ Nitro XV273U W1 ($299.99) with an overclockable 275 Hz refresh rate and WQHD resolution. Both promise to offer you smooth visuals for any game.
For productivity, the new Swift 16 Air laptop is impressive. It’s a 16-inch laptop that weighs just over a kilogram. This makes it a powerful and ultra-portable option with either an AMOLED or IPS display. It’s powered by AMD Ryzen AI 300 series processors, built to handle modern workflows.

Chromebook Spin, new router and portable monitors
Acer also introduced the Chromebook Plus Spin 514 ($699.99). This is the first Acer Chromebook with a MediaTek Kompanio Ultra 910 processor. There’s also a built-in NPU for AI-enhanced productivity with Google AI Pro features.

Finally, for institutions and businesses, the Veriton GN100 AI Mini Workstation ($3,999) is a compact powerhouse built on the NVIDIA GB10 Superchip, designed for handling large AI models locally.
