Samsung’s Next Unpacked Is Sept. 4 — Galaxy S25 FE Takes the Spotlight

Samsung has just announced that its next Virtual Unpacked event will take place next week. On Thursday, September 4, Samsung is slated to announce “the latest addition to the Galaxy ecosystem.” And while we don’t know for sure what that is, we can pretty much assume that would be the Galaxy S25 FE, based on all of the leaks we’ve seen lately.

The virtual Unpacked will take place early in the morning for those of us in the US, kicking off at 5:30 AM ET or 2:30 AM PT for those on the West Coast. This is likely going to be part of Samsung’s press conference in Berlin, which is kicking off IFA. But the press conference won’t be all about Galaxy.

You’ll be able to watch the event on all of Samsung’s social channels. Including Samsung’s YouTube Channel.

What to expect from the Galaxy S25 FE

The Galaxy S25 FE would be announced much earlier this year, and ahead of the iPhone 17 actually. Typically, Samsung announces the “FE” model closer to October, but putting it out earlier than the iPhone is an interesting choice for Samsung.

According to leaks, the Galaxy S25 FE is going to get a larger battery with faster charging this year, as well as a higher-resolution selfie camera. That’s a 4,900mAh capacity battery, according to the Galaxy S25 FE specs, with 45W charging to match the Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Other specs include a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, the Exynos 2400 and up to 256GB of storage on board, as we exclusively reported earlier this month. It’ll also have a 50-megapixel camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and an 8-megapixel telephoto, to go with that new 12-megapixel front-facing camera.

Pricing is expected to stay relatively the same. After all, it can’t really go up that much without cannibalizing the base Galaxy S25 model, which has an MSRP of $799.
