When new features launch on any device, it takes a while for users to catch up with them. This often leads to users missing out on key features until they stumble upon them. Other times, users do not know how to benefit from the full range of functions of an app. In a bid to help users unlock their device’s full potential, Google has launched a new app, the Pixel 10 My Pixel App.
Google positions My Pixel App as the “go-to source” for everything about your Pixel devices. It replaces a previous app, the Pixel Tips app, which Google is automatically updating on compatible devices. Google designed it in a user-friendly way so you can experience the full potential of your Pixel.
For older devices and countries where Google hasn’t made the new app available yet, Google says users will still have access to a redesigned Tips app.
What is packed into the My Pixel App
Google has structured the app to put front and center the things you need to get the most out of your new Pixel device. If you just got one of the new Pixel 10 devices, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, or the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, the Pixel 10 My Pixel App is your go-to for all the features packed into it.
When you launch the device, the home screen greets you with tabs such as Tips, Support, and Store. The Google Store explains each section and what it offers. The Tips tab has “easy to follow guides and tutorials,” apparently for all your connected Pixel devices. It can furnish you with tips on how to get the best of Gemini when sending an email or brainstorming. It can also help with tidbits if you want to customize your new device.
The Support tab provides a “direct line to solutions,” according to Google. This comes in handy when you run into a problem with your device and provides an easy route to fixing any issues that may occur. Also, you can shop right from the app through the Store tab. Here is an image from Google showing the home screen of the Pixel 10 My Pixel App. Finally, the Home tab, which Droid Life also reported, gives updates on your shipments and orders from the Store.
Currently, availability and access are limited. The following languages and countries, however, according to Google, should begin seeing the new app: The US, UK, and Australia (English only), Japan (Japanese only), or Taiwan (Mandarin only).
