Based on a new report, the Samsung Galaxy S26 series will be thinner than the Galaxy S25 series. The information comes from kro_roe, a tipster. He shared the information via X, by claiming that all three Galaxy S26 series phones will be thinner than their predecessors.
The entire Galaxy S26 series is tipped to be thinner
As a reminder, Samsung is expected to release the Galaxy S26 (Pro), Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra early next year. Don’t expect the Galaxy S26 Pro and Ultra to be nearly as thin as the ‘Edge’, though.
Samsung is also rumored to include batteries with higher capacities inside of these phones. It will be interesting how will the company do that while also making them thinner. Samsung is not expected to adopt silicon-carbon batteries with the Galaxy S26 series, so that’s probably not it. Still, the company may surprise us, nothing is set in stone. Who knows, we may even see silicon-carbon batteries in the Galaxy S26 phones.
As you can see, the company will also mix things up when it comes to models it releases and their names. The vanilla phone will get the ‘Pro’ moniker, it seems, while the ‘Plus’ model is getting replaced with the ‘Edge’. So we will get “only” three Galaxy S26 phones.
All of this information is based on rumors, of course, so take it all with a grain of salt. We’re still months away from the Galaxy S26 series launch, so who knows what will happen in the end.
The Galaxy S26 Pro will have a larger battery on the inside
A recent rumor mentioned the Galaxy S26 Pro specifically. It claimed that the phone will feature a 6.27-inch display, while offering a larger 4,300mAh battery (compared to the Galaxy S25). That battery is still not large, though, not at all. There are phone that have similar size out there with a lot larger battery packs.
