Earlier in April, Samsung added the Galaxy S24 series of phones to its Certified Re-Newed smartphones program. The company started offering significant savings with prices starting at $619 for the base Galaxy S24 model. Samsung has now announced that the Galaxy Z series is also joining the Certified Re-Newed program for the first time.
Samsung is now selling a couple of re-newed Galaxy Z series phones
The brand has announced that it is expanding its Certified Re-Newed program to include the Galaxy Z series phones for the first time. Starting today, consumers can buy the re-newed Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 units exclusively from the company’s website. Unfortunately, Samsung hasn’t yet added last year’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 units to the Certified re-newed program at the moment.
For those unaware, the Certified Re-Newed program offers products “serviced by Samsung specialists and repaired with 100% Samsung genuine parts, including a certified new battery.” Furthermore, Samsung backs these products with a one-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Samsung offering refurbished Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5 from $649
Samsung is selling the re-newed Galaxy Z Fold 5 in a single Phantom Black colorway. The phone is available in 256GB and 512GB storage models, which still cost a hefty $1,169 and $1,219, respectively. As for the Galaxy Z Flip 5, its re-newed units come in a Graphite hue. This one starts at $649 for the 256GB memory model and $699 for the 512GB storage variant.
Consumers can bring down the pricing by using the trade-in offers available on the company’s website. You can save up to $527 on the re-newed Galaxy Z Flip5 and up to $866 on the Z Fold5 by exchanging your old smartphone. Samsung’s website is accepting phones from brands like Apple, Google, and Motorola, apart from its own devices, in the trade-in offer.
