HONOR’s Magic V Flip 2 Is Launching Next Week With an Eye-Catching Design

HONOR launched the Magic V5 as one of the thinnest foldable smartphones in the world last month. The company is now all set to introduce another foldable phone called the Magic V Flip 2, which will have a clamshell design. It has already been the subject of several leaks and reports lately, and now the company has also revealed the launch date and design of the handset prematurely.

HONOR has revealed the design of the Magic V Flip 2 ahead of the launch

HONOR has put up a product page on its website for the Magic V Flip 2, which has revealed its design and colors. The company will launch the successor to last year’s Magic V Flip in China on August 21. Last year, HONOR launched its previous clamshell foldable offering a few months earlier.

One of the upcoming Magic V Flip 2 variants features a crystal-inspired design created by fashion designer Jimmy Choo. The four color options of the device include blue, grey, purple, and white. While the grey model has a matte finish, the purple and white editions feature a distinctive marble-patterned design.

A familiar build with some notable upgrades

As seen in the official images, the HONOR Magic V Flip 2 will appear similar to its predecessor, but will have some notable upgrades. The last year’s model has one large and one small camera sensor vertically. However, the upcoming device has two camera sensors of the same size, similar to what we’ve seen on Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 7.

HONOR’s Magic V Flip 2 continues to adopt the rectangular frame and sleek edges like its predecessor. The device features an edge-to-edge secondary cover display. HONOR hasn’t changed the location of the LED flash unit, which is still located on the other folding half of the Magic V Flip 2.

HONOR has managed to keep important details regarding the innards of the Magic V Flip 2 under the curtain so far. If we believe the rumors, the company will fit it with a more powerful Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 SoC, a 6.8-inch FHD+ LTPO inner screen, a 4-inch FHD LTPO cover display, and two 50MP shooters. The device could also have a larger 5,500mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging.

The Magic V Flip 2 is already available for pre-reservations in China on the company’s website and select e-commerce portals. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when and if HONOR will launch the phone in global markets.
