Back at CES 2025, Hisense took the world by storm, announcing its first RGB-miniLED TV, in both 100″ and 116″. In fact, we awarded it Best of CES back in January. Now, nearly eight months later, those TVs are finally available to purchase.
As you’d expect, Hisense’s first RGB-miniLED TVs are not cheap. They are priced at $19,999 and $24,999, respectively. Keep in mind that RGB-miniLED is still a new technology, and these are pretty huge panels.
Hisense says that this TV replaces conventional white backlights and quantum dots with individually controlled red, green, and blue LEDs (hence the “RGB” aspect), allowing these two TVs to deliver pure color directly from the source. This RGB-miniLED tech is able to achieve 95% of the BT.2020 color space and up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness. Which is going to provide you with one of the best-looking pictures you can get on a TV.
The TV is powered by the Hi-View AI Engine X, which is able to dynamically optimize every frame for cinematic picture quality. Hisense has also included the CineStage X 6.2.2 system with Dolby Atmos for multidimensional sound. Hisense has really stepped up its sound game this year, so this TV should sound really good.
Hisense includes WiFi 6E and HDMI 2.1
Both TVs also have support for WiFi 6E, giving you plenty of fast internet for streaming Netflix, Hulu, and more. Keep in mind that Hisense TVs do run on Google TV (with some using Roku and Fire TV), so you do get a familiar operating system here, with loads of apps for streaming.
HDMI 2.1 is also on board, allowing you to take full advantage of that RGB-miniLED TV with your favorite PS5 games at glorious 4K120.
RGB-miniLED is likely going to be the next big thing in the world of TVs. We’ve seen TCL also announce its own RGB-miniLED this year, with Samsung announcing its RGB TV just this week. Which hits all of the top TV makers for RGB already.
