Google is set to launch the Pixel 10 series on August 20th. With multiple leaks on hand, we didn’t have to wait for the brand to know the design, complete specifications, and other hardware features. The prices of all models have also leaked, suggesting no major hike over the previous gen. However, it looks like there’s still something under the hat, as we have now come across the official Google Pixel 10 Pixelsnap cases.
Google may debut Pixel 10 Pixelsnap cases in four colors
The Pixel 10 Pixelsnap cases apparently look different from the official Pixel 9 cases, as there’s a ring inside them. This could be for magnets to enable Qi2 wireless charging at 15W speed. This will be a significant upgrade in the charging department. The Pixel 10 cases will be available in four different colors, including Indigo, Obsidian, Frost, and Limoncello. These are the same colors the phone will be available in.
There’s a soft microfiber lining inside the Pixelsnap case, possibly to prevent damage. We can see the ‘Pixel’ inscription underneath the case.
There could be other Pixelsnap magnetic accessories
Meanwhile, the Pixel 10 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro XL cases will get gray, green, and white shades. These new colors are in addition to the existing black one. The exterior appears to be made of silicone, and these could also get a microfiber lining, similar to Pixel 10 cases. There are reports that Google may unveil other Pixelsnap accessories, like magnetic chargers, which makes sense given the built-in magnets.
These cases should debut alongside the Pixel 10 lineup on August 20th. In addition to magnetic charging, the Pixel 10 features the Tensor G5 chip, built on TSMC’s 3nm process. This could translate to performance improvements over the previous generation and, most importantly, improved thermal management. However, there will be some downgrades in the camera section, especially to the ultrawide-angle lens.
